Barbara Leitgable - Council Member Term: Appointed - 11/8/2022 - 12/31/2027

Diane Balder - Council Member Term: Appointed - 9/10/2024 - 12/31/2027

Bradley McNeill - Council Member Term: Appointed - 3/11/2025 - 12/31/2027

Overview

The Town Council comprises five members elected or appointed by residents living within the Town Rosedale city limits to serve four-year staggered terms.

Under Indiana Code 36-5-2-9, the powers granted to the Town Council are the ability to:

  • Adopt and use a common seal
  • Adopt ordinances and resolutions for the performance functions of the Town
  • Purchase, hold, and convey any interest in property for the use of the Town

Under IC 36-5-2-11, the Town Council may issue bonds to procure money to exercise the Town's powers and pay Town debts. However, the Town may not issue bonds to procure money to pay current expenses.

Under IC 36-5-3-4, the Town Council adopts an annual budget.

 

Meetings

All Town Council Meetings are held at the Rosedale Town Hall, 52 Middle St. Rosedale, IN 47874 at 7PM on the 2nd Tuesday of every month unless posted otherwise. You can find all Council meetings on our Community Calendar. Starting July, of 2025 you will also be able to live stream meetings from our Town of Rosedale YouTube Channel.
